2022 Virtual Annual General Meeting - Register Online

The Alberta Federation of Agriculture and its Board of Directors would like to invite you to our 2022 Virtual Annual General Meeting.  With COVID-19 restrictions changing and to ensure all AFA members, directors, staff and attendees remain safe and healthy, the event will once again be held online on Thursday, January 27, 2022. AFA’s business meeting, resolutions and elections will take place between 10 a.m. and 12 noon with an afternoon webinar offered between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

While 2021 has been an interesting year filled with unique challenges for the industry, from dealing with supply chain issues to navigating the realities of drought, AFA continued to be involved in a number of issues, lending a voice for Alberta's farmers.

"I think it goes without saying that 2021 has come with its share of issues for producers," noted Lynn Jacobson, AFA president.  "But as always, producers have managed to rise to the occasion with the kind of true resiliency we see in our industry time and again."

The AGM is a great place to hear about issues and opportunities in agriculture, while ensuring your voice is heard to help shape the policy that governs the industry.  All are welcome and we invite both members and non-members to participate.

As part of this process, AFA members can submit a resolution in writing to AFA’s head office in advance of the AGM (email to: shannon.scofield@afaonline.ca), no later than January 17, 2022. Those who submit a resolution in advance still need to attend the January 2022 AGM to speak to the information and have it seconded so delegates at the AGM can debate the resolution and vote on it.

We look forward to connecting with our AFA members and partners at the AGM to hear their valuable input.
